and it reminded me of how much I liked it. :)
Based on the plot, I think it's a Hallmark movie and not a Lifetime
movie.
It's a historical. It's about this woman con artist who gets in
trouble in her town for scheming men out of their money. Her cousin
has been communicating with a rancher and her cousin and this rancher
are supposed to meet and get married. But, the cousin gets sick and
can't go. This woman takes her cousin's identity and goes and meets
the rancher. She does this because the people she schemed are hot on
her tail and she needs to get away from them. She and the rancher get
along fine, but eventually he finds out that she tricked him and that
she really isn't the person he was exchanging letters with. So, he
makes her work hard on the ranch until the next train comes to take
her out of town; it comes every 3 weeks. But before she has a chance
to leave, the men from whom she stole money finds that she's staying
at the ranch. There's this shoot out. The woman and rancher prevail.
The rancher confesses his love for her and says that he didn't really
want her to leave and that the train comes by regularly, but that he
didn't really want her to leave. :D
This movie was quite memorable if not for the fact that whoever
handled the props did a bad job. This is supposed to take place around
the turn of the 20th century, but the rancher had a nice, modern bed
in his room, nice dresser, and even had modern, expensive hangers that
the woman hung her clothes on! - not those ol' cheap plastic ones.
lol.
Does anyone know the name of this movie or who the actors are? I'd
like to watch it again.
